PILATES CLASSES 

Healing Grounds Center is the only Pilates studio in Salem, WI

offering group classes and private lessons. We have a PMA Certified Pilates Teacher program and currently have two Pilates Teachers in training. With an intentionally small class size, we can ensure each student will receive the time and attention needed to learn the proper technique.

We are a fully equipped studio:

​

  • Pilates equipment is used to support the body and give it feedback as students learn connection and control their movements.

  • Pilates equipment includes a reformer, wall- tower, spine corrector, foam roller, magic circle, weights, and bands.

​

Who is Pilates for?

​

Pilates is recommended for all ages, shapes, and sizes. Highly suggested with, or after physical therapy and will help assist and strengthen those with MS, stroke, cancer, or knee/hip and spinal surgeries.

New to us? 

​

All "new to Healing Grounds" students must complete the private Intro Studio Session prior to joining any Pilates class.  For more information on the  INTRO, Studio Session click here.

Pilates Equipment Class

ALL LEVEL
INTENSITY: LOW - MODERATE

TOWER rhymes with POWER and HOUR.  A coincidence?  We think not.  With a maximum of five students per class, you will enjoy individualized attention from your instructor in a motivating small group.  This Pilates Tower session includes a challenge for your body and mind through strength, balance, and core work.

Pilates Mat Class

BEGINNER / ALL LEVEL

INTENSITY: LOW - MODERATE

Pilates mat class is a functional movement class. While focusing on strength, flexibility, and balance, common benefits of the Pilates method include:   improving your posture, breathing patterns, and anatomical misalignments common for most of the population. While this class is suitable for guests of all levels, it is recommended to gain a foundation in the Pilates method through Pilates & Props and Pilates Equipment Classes.

 TRX + Pilates

ALL LEVEL

INTENSITY:  MODERATE - HIGH

TRX is a form of suspension training that uses body weight exercises to develop strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. In this class we combine Pilates movements with the use of the TRX Suspension Trainer, to further deepen our practice!

Pilates + Yoga

BEGINNER / ALL LEVEL

INTENSITY:  MODERATE - HIGH

Pilates + Yoga is a hybrid workout combining the mind/body practices of yoga and Pilates, as well as the principles of stretch, strength training, conditioning, and dynamic movement. This dynamic, energetic program provides a full-body workout while remaining low impact for your body.

Adaptive Pilates

BEGINNER / ALL LEVEL

INTENSITY: LOW - MODERATE

In our adaptive Pilates class, we will work with those that need to get moving, but don’t know where to start. This class is especially great for individuals who have physical limitations such as being unable to get onto the floor, have little to no balance, have had hip or knee replacements, spinal surgery or disk fusion, scoliosis, osteoporosis, and anybody that wants to feel well with encouraging movements.
